Workshop - 5G for Connected Autonomous Vehicles
Organized by BMVIT and AIT
Place and time: bmvit, Radetzkystraße 2, 1030 Vienna, room EA08 20.9.2016, 14-18h
Goals
Wireless 5G systems are actively investigated and developed in Europe. The challenging goals of this new generation of communication systems are
- 1000 x more data traffic
- 100 x more devices
- 1ms latency
- 10 year battery life for sensors
with a strong focus on efficient machine type communications (MTC).
Last year the 5G workshop brought the interested players in Austria to the same table and the 5G PPP status was presented. This year the workshop will focus on a promising niche for the Austrian industry and scientific community: connected automated vehicles in the vertical automotive market.
